About Kathy Gibbons
Award-winning newspaper features editor and lifestyle columnist Kathy Gibbons writes columns and blogs about doing whatever it takes to get a job and pay the bills.
Whether that means reinventing yourself, overhauling your skill set or changing the way you look at the world and go about searching for work, it can be a new game when you find yourself unemployed at an age, in a field and/or in a job market where it seems there are more obstacles than opportunities. Gibbons’ goals are to share experiences, offer tips from experts, HR professionals and job seekers and otherwise explore what works — and what doesn’t. She believes we are all in this together, and that together, we can help each other.
Gibbons lives in Michigan, where she has worked in public relations management for hospitals and community colleges, and most recently, was a newspaper features editor and lifestyle columnist.
